DebbieICU Posted February 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2006 I'm trying to make up my mind about which tour to book- Soto's, Native way or Capt. MArvin's- they all seem to have good reviews- anyone with an opinion? Thanks - Debbie
suebee53 Posted February 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2006 I've been with Soto's twice after going with other guys before, and can't come up with enough good things to say about Soto's. Last week there were only 16 passengers on our trip, and we got such personalized attention! I’m so glad we snorkeled at Coral Gardens, and we were the only boat there till a few minutes before we left. On the Stingray Sandbar, one of the crew would wrangle a stingray and hand it off to everyone on the boat who wanted to. The photographer took excellent pictures of people holding the stingrays, kissing the stingrays (7 years of good luck! . . . Uh-huh.) and getting "stingray back massages" as the Soto’s guy held the rays up against people’s backs and they would flap and squirm. It was a great time, and the highlight of the whole week for us. They have a much smaller boat, and you are guaranteed personal service and care. On an earlier trip, one of our group discovered she doesn't do well with the relatively rough water of open seas, and one of the crew was very gentle with her, guiding her around to give her the best possible experience without being frightened. Very impressive. It's also only $30 pp, which is quite a bargain! Sue

twinkletoes4445 Posted February 5, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 5, 2006 We booked with CM's twice in the past and had a great time. I'd use them the next time we are in GC, and it's going to be for my next birthday...later this year! Yippee!!!! Whoever you choose, have a great time! :)
