celebrity cruises offer a cruise critic get together for party's over 25 people. does anyone know if other ship lines do the same?? ncl in particularly

Yup, all the time. Only difference is - NCL is not affiliated with Cruise Critics, so the party is arranged a bit differently. First you have a rollcall here on CC for your sailing. Then, you contact the Passenger Courtesy department at NCL and arrange directly with the coordinator for your ship. They will arrange a time and place for you. ;)

RCCL/Celebrity has an exclusive contract with Cruise Critic for official get togethers.

 

NCL has in an unofficial way be very accommodating to the members. Each roll call has to email and set up their own meet and greet. Most of the time NCL has supplied refreshments and staff to attend the meeting.
