mississauga Posted February 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2006 Hi Everyone, I am new to Cruise Critic. I am going on the Dawn Princess in April so am checking out the website to get some information. Boy, am I learning a lot. I am so addicted....I am spending 2+ hours everyday to catch up on all the info available out there about all the different ships. I have been on 10 cruises myself but there is so much more to learn and it's fun just to hear about everyone's experiences. Thanks for all the info everyone is providing from their experiences. One terminology that several people have used is "DH". I have a clue that it refers to your mate but what exactly do the 2 letters stand for? Sorry if it sounds dumb to not know the meaning but since I keep reading it, I would like to be enlightened for future postings.

Cruiseteach Posted February 3, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2006 D= Dear (or damn, depending on your current mood :) ) DH- Dear Husband DW-Dear wife DS- Dear son DD- dear daughter DM- Dear Mother DMIL Dear Mother-in-law DF- Dear Friend etc, etc, etc. The only dumb question is, "Why didn't I ask?" mississauga Posted February 3, 2006 Author #7 Share Posted February 3, 2006 Thanks for the clarification. I kind of figured it meant something like that but since so many people are using it, I thought it might have 1 specific meaning that I was not aware of. I have since seen DW. Read and learn, I guess.
