ClipClop Posted February 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 6, 2006 Has anyone recently gone horseback riding in Grand Caymen? If so, were you able to canter/lope on the beach and who did you use? We are going in April, and being an experienced rider I've always dreamed of riding on the beach. I don't want to be disappointed by going nose to tail at a walk/trot the whole time. Any input is appreciated! Thanks.
hockeyjen Posted February 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Hi ClipClop... My husband and I were in Grand Cayman this past December, and we booked a beach ride through Honeysuckle Beach Rides. We were there on a Sunday with only two other ships in port, and although we didn't book a private ride, it turned out to be just the two of us along with the guide. As beginners, we didn't canter or gallop, but I don't see why they wouldn't let you if you are experienced. If you really want to make sure, you can book a private ride with them. I booked through the link below, and they should be able to answer that question for you if you want to confirm that you'll be able to canter/gallop before you book it. http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/horsebackriding.htm Have fun!!! ClipClop Posted February 28, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2006 Thanks for your reply Jen. I think I'll try to contact them! It looks like their are only 2 ships in port the day we are going, but I still may try to book a private ride. ClipClop
