Question about checking into the cruise

We are traveling with our adult kids and their spouses.  We all did the on-line check-in with the cruise app.  We did it early and got an 11:30 AM time slot but the earliest the kids could get was 1:00 PM.  Do you have to show up at the time they assign or can you show up earlier even if it means waiting in line?  Thanks

Doesn't matter what time you get there, you all will be able to check in. On our last cruise we were told to be there at 12:30 and we got there at 10:00 and we're on ship at 11:30.
