What to do in Miami/Ft Lauderdale

Hi

First trip to the USA from the UK in 2 weeks and DW and myself are staying o/n before Cruise at Sunny Isles nr Miami beach ??? Wherever that is ... how far from the Cruise pier pse?

 

We may have a couple of hours to kill when we get out of bed after a long day the day before to so....is there anywhere worth walking to?

 

and.....

 

We have stopover at FL on our back to back crusies and I am struggling in finding what to do ...poss Everglades trip or shopping....any advice welcomed please

Daytime - Take a cab from the port to Riverwalk. Check it out, its very nice... http://www.riverfrontfl.com Make sure to check out all the links on the site. Plenty do to.

 

Night time - PARTY? Not sure if you want to party or not, but downtown fort lauderdale is very hot. If you do decide to party, check out Capone's. (my personal fav). You can pretty much party will the sun comes up...

 

PS - its less than 5 miles from the port to Riverwalk.
