tef43 Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Depends on the ship. Tom <--- Curmudgeon of the Seas Eleven cruises so far. Up next: Shhhh, it's a surprise! And then: Carnival Spirit 12/10/05 Mexican Riviera Perhaps something else in the works as well. Watch this space. Dance like it hurts, love like you need money, and work when somebody's watching. halos Posted April 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2004 When you call Carnival, their standard reply to this question is that on a 7 day cruise, the formal nights are on night 2 and night 5. But then they tell you that that is not set in stone and can be changed. The only way to know for sure is to find out after you board. Hootsie Posted April 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2004 On the Paradise, we left Miami on Sunday, had a sea day on Monday AND Formal Night, then had another formal night on Thursday (after getting back from Grand Cayman). That one was rough since we got back on the ship late that afternoon (after swimming with stingrays) and had early seating at 5:45. We were 20 minutes late (Heck, we have three girls!) but our tablemates were almost an hour late. Family Cruise on the Paradise: 04/04/
Cotton Posted April 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I'm pretty sure I'm right on this one. The first formal night is ALWAYS the second night onboard. (on cruises of any duration)... I've never heard different, altho the second formal night has been reported as being the 4th or 5th, according to ports...
