Excursion tips for Curacao?

Hello everyone, I will be visiting Curacao for the first time next February (yes, I know it is a long way away LOL) and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any shore excursions?? I'd like to get tips from someone who has been there before. DH and I like to snorkel or go to the beach as well as see the island so we are open to pretty much anything.

Thanks in advance.

We just returned from our Jan 23-Feb4 Brilliance of the Seas cruise and I posted a report on an excellent excursion that we booked with a company called Curacao Actief http://www.curacao-actief.com/. We spent a full day with Han Guertsen and Anite exploring some of the best snorkelling sites I have ever been to. They offer a number of different activities and were willing to tailor an excursion to our needs.

We've been to Curacao 3 times, most recently last April. On that trip, we went to Playa Porto Mari in the morning. Nice beach, and decent snorkeling. We've also taken excursion boats to snorkel, and the snorkeling was very good. There is a nice little self-guided walking tour you can do in Willemstad, which will take you to some historic sights. The floating market is interesting to experience. There is also some decent shopping there.

We revisited Curacao last April -did a ship's tour in the morning "Curacao Highlights" which went to the Curacao Museum, drove around the Willemstad area, stopped at the Curacao Liqueur factory-Chobolobo-and toured through the center of town.

Later, we rented a cab at the pier and toured the Santa Rosa area-then spent the rest of the afternoon in the center of Willemstad, which has good shopping and many beautiful buildings. There is so much to see and do in town, which is a World Heritage site.

The snorkeling is very good in Curacao. Enjoy your trip.
