judyzoo Posted February 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Hi Can someone tell us what to do in Hamilton, Bermuda ?:) Thanks Joe and Sheryl Botannical Gardens. Crystal Caves. Aquarium and Zoo. Shop (try Trimingham's Department Store) or take a buggy ride along Front Street. Notice all the motorbikes. Walk around town and see the government buildings, monuments, and cathedral. Bermuda Historial Society Museum. Are you going to other Bermuda ports? If not, take a ferry to St. George. Drink a couple of dark 'n stormies. Swizzle v2.0 Posted February 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2006 The Crystal Caves and the Aquarium are not in the City of Hamilton but in Hamilton Parish about a 15+ minute bus ride out of the city. The Botanical Gardens is outside the city as well. Trimingham's sadly went out of business in July 2005. Hamilton is a small but busy city - at least on Monday-Saturday. Most tourists walk around to see the various parks and government buildings, shop, eat, visit the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute (BUEI), maybe visit Fort Hamilton, and so forth. Hamilton is also the key hub for ferries and buses and some activities like the Wildcat leave from Hamilton.
judyzoo Posted February 10, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 10, 2006 Trimingham's sadly went out of business in July 2005. It was in the back of my mind when I posted that I might have heard that Trimingham's went out of business, but I wasn't sure. Too bad.

tinker Posted February 15, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 15, 2006 We like to take the bus to the beach. Try Warwick or Horseshoe Bay Beautiful sand and water there not to be missed while on Bermuda. The bus ride also serves as a little tour!

Corky3012 Posted February 26, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Snorkel at Church Bay, explore Crystal Caves, go to Horseshoe Bay and walk east along the coast and find hidden coves. We took the bus everywhere, it was really great.
