My husband and I. senior citzens, are taking our 6 year old grandaughter on 4 day cruise on Wonder, any suggestions? I want to see the Atlantis, but also want to do alittle shopping in town. Beach day, do we put her in kids program? Thanks for any help you can give us. We have cruised many times but not Disney.

The kids clubs are open so she can stay there while you explore some. But you may want to go one place for a little while, come back to the ship, and check on her before going back out for the rest of your day, because the pagers they give you will not work once you are off the ship, if she were to become ill or hurt they wouldnt be able to reach you.

I'm assuming at Atlantis you want to explore the casino. If you were wanting to tour the Dig there she would probably love to see it. it is a large aquarium and many kids do that tour with adults. Depending on how long you want to spend you may consider taking her on that tour, then one of you take her to lunch at the snack bar by the casino while the other ones gambles for a bit. Then trade places and you can go back through the dig as often as you want with her as long as you have the bracelet on to prove you have paid for the tour. But you can go at your own speed without a guide the second time around. that should keep her occupied for awhile.

shopping is all very close to the ship. An easy walk for a child if you consider taking her. the straw market is very crowded but has many cute things for little girls.

But you can leave her in the club, no problem, lots of people do this. there is also a horse and buggy ride right at the port which she might enjoy with one of you while the other one shops. it was $10 per person for about 25 minutes. Good luck, I'm sure she will be happy no matter what you decide to do. the clubs are great and they will take the kids to lunch if you tell them to. Hopefully she is the type of child who is comfortable in the club. Most are, but our grandaughter was scared at first because she didnt understand what was happening. You can stay with her a while at first until she gets the feel for the place if you want. Some kids are kind of shy the first day.

If by "beach day" you're referring to Castaway Cay, you can put her in the kids club, spend the day together or some of each, depending on what you and she prefer. You can rent bikes for a little tour (all flat), snorkel from the beach, fly kites you make onboard the ship, build sandcastles...lots of fun. If you spend time together at the beach, this is a good place to do it because there are lifeguards, and the water is calm and protected. What a lovely trip to do with your granddaughter!

Howdy,

the day before you get to CC they have a time when and adult and kids can make kites and decorate them. the place and time will be listed in your Navigator paper. This is a free project to do.

Then the next day on CC they have a special area on the beach where everyone can go to fly their kites. The kids are very creative with decorating their kites, we have seen some really cool looking ones.

You can take your own beach toys if you want. they do sell them at the gift shop on CC if you dont want to pack your own. I dont remember the price, but I dont think it was too bad and it makes for a nice souvenir too.
