Category 11 Suite Photos Available

I've been promising to post photos of our category 11 suite from our January 22 cruise on Victory. I'm not a computer geek, so am having a hard time getting them posted online. In the meantime, if anyone wants detailed photos of cabin 7279, a category 11 suite on Victory, e-mail me and I'll be happy to send them to you. Also, since this was my first cruise with my fancy new professional digital camera, I have another 350 photos from the eastern Caribbean. If anyone has any specific locales or photos they're looking for, let me know. If I have the photos, I'll get them to you.

Had a great time!! rickcop44@aol.com or mandanbraves@aol.com

Hey rickcop44, I was one of the people who asked about a cat 11 suite on the victory. I'll send you an e-mail.

How did you like the cat 11? Do you get any perks beside having a balcony and more space? Any additional details would be appreciated!

Thanks...

Category 11 entitles you to VIP check in. When we arrived at the terminal, we literally were met at the front door by a Carnival rep who escorted us to a separate room for check in. We got to sit on nice leather couches and they delivered our Sign and Sail cards to us. They then escorted about 10 of us through the crowds and right onboard. We were the first ones to hit the Mediterranean Restaurant on Lido Deck.

The suite itself was wonderful. Many of the things we took (i.e., bungee chords, extension cord, etc.) were never needed. The balcony door latches open on its own and there are two large closets. There's a separate area just outside the bathroom that is all countertop and mirrors. It's great for getting dressed, makeup, etc. The beds were wonderful. If there is a negative to the suite, it would be the shower area. Carnival advertises a jacuzzi tub in its suites. Well,,,,,that's true. But it's a small bathtub basically with a shower head. I tried laying down in it and I was able to get a little more than half my body in the tub. I'm 6-2 and it was really small for me. If you're thinking about a romantic interlude with your significant other, I'd think again.

We had the room steward empty our fridge on Sunday and we stocked it with our own soda that we'd brought with us. We refilled in San Juan. I'll never go back to a balcony cabin after this.

Another thing - the suite is clearly larger than a balcony cabin - in other words, it is noticeably larger. And with the separate area just outside the bathroom, my DW and I were never in each other's way while getting dressed.

Hey all!

I'm a first time cruiser (don't butcher me to death!) and am seriously thinking about taking the Miracle on Oct. 1. The reason posting here is that I would like to view any cat 11 pictures as I will be splurging because it will be our honeymoon :D

If you can e-mail them, that would be great. nudave@gmail.com
