Grand Princess Damage Pictures From The BIG Roll

From what the computer tech told me the problem is that it was on a handycam dvd that had already been finalized. He said that it had to be done in their office because my home computer doesn't have the hardware to make the edits. But then they took it and did it wrong!!!:D:D:D So hopefully the dvd will be back by tomorrow. There is a small excerpt online at this time but I prefer to wait for "full dramatic effect" hee hee but if you want to see part of it now I can post the link, but it is only a very small part of the video:)

Very impatient...take what we can get now and wait with anticipation for the full version. We can view it as a movie trailer now and tomorrow with popcorn

THANKS! We were standing on the middle of the stairs between 5/6 right were the glass on the stair banister cracked (due to a rack of cloths). You have a great shot of exactly where we were during the big tilt. Hubby grabbed me back down to the midde of the stairs so I would get hit the the objects flying through the store windows...

Cannot wait for the rest!!!!

Thanks again!

Chances are pretty good!

Were you lucky enough to be next to the flying ATMs and stores...not a fun spot, literally mid-stairs over hanging atrium. Too bad the ATM didn't break open or I wasn't at the casino with chips rolling at me.

I'm so glad that you got pics and video because it was the last thing on my mind; preempted by total shock and fear.

After I calmed down I had to help calm my bf's family (85+ parents and hysterical sis-in-laws) down while he went to find his teenagers that were lucky enough to be in the pool on 14 (as we noticed that all the pool water was now in the sea). All were ok TG.

Glad all went ok 4 you. I hope nobody went overboard since no head count was performed b4 resuming the "fantasy" cruise.:)

FYI...1st cruise was 2-4-06 on Grand...next...NEVER...LOL

Stow for sea

stow for sea

stow for sea

When I was in the Navy we were constantly reminded to always stow for sea meaning everything in lockers or tied down. Never know when a big wave could come or a list due to a sharp turn (or on a submarine an up or down angle from changing depth). I am suprised the shops are not stowed for sea, meaning the racks and display cases fastened to the decks.

I guess the cruise industry needs to be reminded of this. Flying projectiles can and have injured and killed.

LOL don't let that experience get you down, I'm pretty sure it won't ever happen again:D We just left the dining room, went quickly upstairs without thinking about it just "get out to the open deck".

Everywhere we went all week people were trading "where were you when stories" like how people trade stores of other their major life events. You too I bet! That must have been a doosie for the older folks. We travel a lot with my inlaws (70's), I was thinking how we would have handled it had they been there.

Thanks for watching Alolewis:)

What about the TVs in the staterooms; 82 lost due to flying across rooms. Nothing seemed to be stowed...projectiles everywhere. I thought Princess has been doing this forever and was top notch. It seemed like it was their first ship on it's first voyage ever LOL :o

I'm a little surprised that the televisions aren't fastened in place somehow. That tiny fence/railing is it, huh? At least things like the small tables and chairs are on the 'ground,' but the television flying from the top of the room could have been pretty dangerous!

I haven't read much of what's been posted about this incident. Has anyone mentioned how long it lasted?
