bl2sms Posted May 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2021 We are booked on the Shadow for an October Rome-Barcelona cruise, and I am wondering if cruises this year may sail at reduced capacity to afford more ability to social distance? Or will the requirement that passengers and crew be fully vaccinated allow these cruises be booked to capacity?
Barbara Muckermann Posted May 25, 2021 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2021 Dear bl2sms Thank you very much for the question. We look forward to welcoming you aboard Silver Shadow in October! Due to the spaciousness of our ships, and the fact that we carry fewer guests, we are at a slight advantage when it comes to physical distancing. We are still evaluating the capacity at which our ships will operate and the situation may still evolve before October. We will continue to monitor the most up-to-date recommendations from the CDC and the Healthy Sail Panel, and will update our protocol accordingly. Rest assured, our science-backed health protocols include physical distancing and face coverings in all indoor public spaces for guests' health and safety, yet the social aspect of cruising will remain - this is an important part of the Silversea experience. Guests will still be able to dine together and enjoy a cocktail in the bar, interacting and making new friends. Barbara
