gquest Posted February 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Could someone please share their experience with excursions? Any reviews out there? What time did you get into to San Juan? Any recommendations on what do in San Juan? How did you get to the Baths? Thanks :D
micdee Posted February 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2006 Come on Liberty cruisers....inquiring minds want to know.....what did you do on the islands?
ooulio Posted February 15, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 15, 2006 We just got back from this cruise. We arrived in Puerto Rico about 4:30pm. We did our own tour of the island just walking around and shopping. It was kind of dirty and trash was thrown all over the place. Liquor was really cheap there. Especially the building where you go back into to get the cruise. They offer free drinks with rum. It was my least favorite of the islands. We did a tour of St Thomas . The rest of them we just did our own thing. We were towards the front too. We were on the 9th floor with a balcony. It would have been great except on one side of us, they slammed the door all nite til very late. We ended up meeting the other couple 2 doors down . They complained about that couple too. If you need any other help, email me at ooulio@aol.com Our cruise was great.
scejas Posted February 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2006 Do you have to go through customs at san juan ?
micdee Posted February 20, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Do you have to go through customs at san juan ? No, since San Juan is the first port stop you do not go thru customs. Anyone else out there care to share their port experiences?
jpatryak Posted February 21, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2006 We didn't get off the ship in San Juan. In St. Thomas, we did our own thing...great island, lots of interesting little alley ways to explore; very safe feeling. In Antigua we went to Millers-By-The-Sea. GREAT! Clean, friendly, beautiful beach. There's horseback riding and jet skis; snorkel equip available. Only about 5 minutes from ship. In Tortola, we took a ferry to Virgin Gorda and went to The Baths. Truly, the most beautiful place we've ever been! Would love to go back when we're not one of a huge group from cruise ships (gets a little crowded).
