seasplease Posted July 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 8, 2006 I'd like information about this excursion also. It sounds very nice, but I'd feel better if someone out there would confirm it. Anyone?
gtaylor Posted July 11, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2006 We don't do many excursions while on cruises, but knowing the island, this seems expensive to me. If you're traveling alone, then maybe the $84 is acceptable, but if you're at least a couple, or even better four or six of you, then I think you'd probably do better with a private tour, arrange a taxi-tour, or even point to point taxi rides. If you're adventurous, rent a car. The tour takes you to Marigot, but there is no added value there, no snacks or drinks, etc. They take you to Mont Vernon, where the regular admission is $12 ($7/child). They take you to Boo Boo Jam, which is at the far end of Orient from most of the action (and Club Orient, which could be a plus for some people), but the description is unclear on what's included. I think it's chair, umbrella and lunch, not drink. Check Ed and Sandra's panoramic of Orient here for locations. Look way to the right side. They take you back to the ship. I think you could probably do better on your own. gary
