What time to book Limo?

In March, we are spending one night pre-cruise at the La Quinta Inn & Suites in Hollywood after flying into FLL. We cruise the next day on the Carnival Victory out of the Port of Miami. Several people on the boards said they try to get to the port around 10:30. When we tried to book a limo for 10:00 they sounded like they thought we were crazy. Are we getting to Miami too early? We don't want to end up in a really long line that some talked about getting in if you come later, but don't want to be waiting forever with nothing happening either. We will have a patient 14 yr old and an impatient 10 yr old with us.

 

Thanks for any insight from those of you who have cruised Carnival out of Miami before!

We had our limo from FLL Hotel pick us up at 11 for our drive to Miami, got there at the perfect time. No wait to check in and all the pass/cars were cleared out from the previous cruise.

 

The Limo services do this week after week so they know when the better time is, perhaps asking for 10 the service knows you might run into previous cruise traffic....plus they may still be finishing up transporting those pass at that time...
