newhampshiregirl Posted February 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2006 I know this was covered on another thread some time ago...interested in upgrading (understand not for FREE but paying an additional charge) at the pier when checking in. We are sailing on the Voyager in 1 week-and while we are happy with our cabin, thought I would check out this option once at the pier. Can someone who has done this or knows how its done respond? Do you ask about an upgrade when checking in? Do you go the Pier Coordinator before checking in or after to inquire about upgrades? How significant are the reductions when upgrading at the pier? We plan to arrive by 11 am-does the early arrival help our chances? Many thanks for your help!
cruisnfool Posted February 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2006 After you check in you go to the pier coordinator at the end of the line and ask if any upgrades are available......if there are any they will tell you the price. Good luck
Nliedel Posted February 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2006 *If* there are upgrades available they will state the price which could mean a discount or be the rack rate, depends on a number of factors. Follow cruisinfool's advice about how to go about it. Lately a lot of th ships have been sailing full so don't expect it but it's nice if you want to spend the extra money and can.
