wraithe Posted February 25, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 25, 2006 is there wireless internet connection or high speed in the staterooms? There are about 10,000 threads or so about internet on the ships. If you look in the sticky faq at the top of the RCL pages, I posted an email from RCL. All 19 RCL ships have WI-FI now. There are 6 hot spots scattered through the ship, getting WI-FI in your room will be hit or miss, mostly miss. Pricing is 50 cents/min unless you buy a block, there are various price plans with the least expensive 150 minutes/$50, or 33 cents/minute. Most who have used it say that you should download your mail, log off, compose anything you're going to send, log back on and send, and log off as quickly as possible to conserve your money. If you're Crown and Anchor, there's supposed to be a coupon in your coupon package for some free internet. Wraithe
wrp96 Posted February 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 25, 2006 On Brillance now. In the stateroom, there is the Cybercabin. For $120 flat fee, you have unlimited internet access using a dialup modem. It is like an ethernet cord. It is definitely slower than DSL but worthwhile. Throughout the ship, there are wireless hotspots, but you have to pay for the minute for those. It is $.50 per minute or less if you buy a package.
