Port visits

Recommended Posts

This depends on the policies of the individual islands - which - as I am sure you will appreciate, could change markedly over the next two months, particularly with rates rising across Europe. So any answer now is definitely subject to change (and possibly at very short notice - while you are on the ship)

However, that notwithstanding, Marella's general policy is NOT to prevent independent trips, which has on occasion this Autumn, put them at odds with some of their rival operators.

Additionally the Canary Islands in general have experienced far lower rates of infection than Mainland Europe so I would be reasonably optimistic that this will be ok.

However, in case your question is related to this, would I be pre-booking in advance tours with independent operators in the destination ports?  Probably not, unless there was a free cancellation policy if restrictions prevented you from participating.

The first Marella Canaries Islands cruise sets sale next Monday so we may get some trip reports highlighting actual *current* experience (as opposed to what Dr.Google may reveal)
