Empress cabin 7186

I booked an aft cabin for the Empress repo cruise 04/21 - 04/29. I will post my impressions when I get back. I am more than willing to give up the sitting area for a larger aft balcony.

I have had an aft cabin once before, on the Celebrity Millinium, and I loved every second of it! That aft was also a corner and it had 2 lounge chairs and a table and 2 chairs for dinning. It was partially covered by the balcony above so could get out of the sun if you wanted. It was really terrific.

Hey Carl and Andrea, come join our Meet & Mingle Roll Call at: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=237482&page=40 . Have you signed up for the Meet & Mingle? Last I heard we were up to 87 people! Stop by the board and say hi... lots of friendly folks!

Thanks for that picture, Terri23. Seeing it makes all the difference.

I moved to 7690 (center aft junior suite). I just wish I had exact square footage info. on the suite itself. I can live without the sitting area to have a great deck. I just hope its at least the 139 sq. feet we originally had in 7510.

Jeanne, if you like i can email you a little clip of 7690. It has the balcony and the cabin.

These are a bit blurred . I took them from the video.

Curt measuring the balcony..:D it was figured out to be 6 x 18

Well, after much discussion and debate and looking at pictures (thanks, Terri)...we switched back from 9684 to a side JS 9642. The pictures looked like not much more than an inside cabin with a balcony stuck on the side. We've been in a side JS and it's not that bad. We'll just have a small balcony. Hope we didn't make a mistake.

Thanks, Bermudashorts, for the pics!!! They are very helpful. The balcony size is what makes this particular suite so appealing to me. Confirmation of it's 6x18 feet is fantastic!!! The cabin is marginally smaller than the others on the aft (and much smaller than those on 9), but I can live without a sitting area -- I'm not much of a couch potato anyway.:)

Is there a way you can post the video clip somewhere that I can view it? I don't want to post my email address on an public forum.

Jeanne

Here is a email you can write me at and ill send it to you.

This is a "junk" email account so im not afraid to post it.

Just write Jeanne, cruise critic in the title

curtyalert@yahoo.com

Id rather not post the video online, because Curt does a little dance when he is done measuring. lol

And you know how the internet is, everyone will have it in an email.
