Bellarose Posted February 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Does anyone know if Carnival has excursion there? I looked on Carnival web site and they list "private beach." We thought if we booked excursion through Carnival we would be able to get off boat earlier. Anyone heard of excursion to Caulkier? We have 2 year old and four year old. Didn't think they would be able to zip trek or cave tube.

luvskittys Posted February 22, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2006 Carnival does not have a formal excursion to Caye Caulker, the Private Beach Break is on Bannister island.
luvskittys Posted February 22, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2006 I was looking at Carnivals web site for the Private Beach Break Excursion in Belize and it does not appear to be offered on the 3/5/06 sailing of the Valor. Does anyone know if it is offered on that voyage?

Cozumel-Ian Posted February 22, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2006 This is the website for the operator of Carnival's Bannister Island snorkel tour if anyone needs more info: www.belize-paradise.com. I think you need to call and check with Carnival's shorex dept if the tour isn't offered for your cruise on their website though... Ian

starketcher Posted February 24, 2006 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I think Caye Caulker is our plan. Does nayone have much experience with the water taxi? Or does anyone know whether a tour guide (outisde of cruiseline) is availlable for Caye Cualker? We would kinda like a day to mess around on the beach, maybe snorkle, hang out in a local bar and pick up a few souvenirs.

We would kinda like a day to mess around on the beach, maybe snorkle, hang out in a local bar and pick up a few souvenirs. That is my plan too for my trip ......the water taxi goes @every hour from 8am $ 17.50 round trip. Even with the travel time it is still very easy to do. Check out Caye Caulker in the web....seems like there are plenty of choices for snorkel, swim, beach, shops. etc... Leaving next thursday...can't wait!
