East Meets West restaurant

We just got back from our cruise on 2/18/06 and had an awesome time on the SUN ship. The only bad experience we had was in the restaurant East Meets West. The food was good after it took about an hour and a half to get it after it was ordered. Our server was terrible and I have had better service at Denny's. She was rude and very short and snotty. We had to ask for our side dishes when she forgot to serve them and then she acted put out when she brought them back. The food was good after two of us had to send our steak beak to have it cooked right. Desert was not good at all and we still had to pay the $20.00 per person cover charge. For this restaurant being the most expensive I would have thought it would have been the best. We had better service it the buffet. Save your money and time and go to one of the other restaurants.:p

I was also on the 2/18 Sun and our experience was very similar at East Meets West. THe service was not up to standard and the food was not worth the upcharge. The DW had a very good lobster but the $25 goes down in the "it was all part of the cruise" catagory as opposed to great value. Pacific Heights was a really enjoyable meal but the same as all the specialty restaurants, the service was average to indifferent.
