Shopping in Belize

It depends on what you want to buy. Both ports have a variety of souveniers.

Grand Cayman has duty free shops that sell jewelry, crystal, perfume, liquor, etc. And it also has great rum cakes.

Belize's shopping area at the pier has expanded over the last few years. They have a couple duty free shops too, but they do not have anywhere as large an assortment as Grand Cayman. However. last time we were there in Belize, there were beautiful items made out of native woods - bowls, carving boards, etc. In fact, we bought small carving boards for all our friends and they all loved them.

Thanks for the input. Originally, we were scheduled to hit Cozumel and GC. Both of those port-of-call boards give a good impression of both excursions and shopping. Now, that we are headed to Belize, I don't see as much discussion on the local shopping on. Just trying to get a feel for it. Thanks.
