Justwannacruis3 Posted March 3, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2022 If our aft facing balcony room is upgraded to a Haven or Spa suite, do we get all the Haven or Spa perks that would be ours if we booked that room to start with?
The Traveling Man Posted March 3, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2022 If your upgrade is to a Haven Spa Balcony you will have access to the spa. If you are upgraded to any of the Haven rooms you will be able to visit the Haven Lounge and to enjoy meals and drinks in the Haven Restaurant and Bar. You will not receive certain other perks, such as the additional Latitude points that you otherwise would earn if you had originally booked a Haven room. I saved around $5k on a 2 Bedroom! 4

Thanks…..first time NCL cruiser, so points aren’t important yet.

Latitudes membership levels may not mean much to some folks, but the free bag of laundry, two free dinners for two in a specialty restaurant, dinner with an officer, the free behind-the-scenes tour, priority embarkation, skip-the-line for shows, $50 off the cost of tours, etc, etc, can become quite valuable over time. Grab those points when you can.

Absolutely true, but my response was to Justwannacruis3, who is fairly new to NCL and doesn't seem to be the type of passenger who chooses to travel in the Haven on most of their voyages. My point was that for the vast majority of cruisers, earning an extra Latitudes point when possible can get them to some of those benefits sooner rather than later. Yes, a savings of $5000 surely beats seven extra Latitude points, but sailing in a Balcony as a Platinum, Sapphire, or Diamond member sure beats a Balcony as a Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
Sixtytwo Posted March 5, 2022 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2022 One suggestion: Join the Roll Call for your cruise right here on CruiseCritic. There are a lot of tips there, assuming it is an active Roll Call. Ask your questions about others who might have children near the age of your son. It is a good source of info for your particular cruise.
