Littlegoo75 Posted May 14, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Ahhhhhhh.... I had heard that Key West had been dropped from the Glory itinerary for awhile. Does anyone know for how long? I am cruising in November and need to know. I love Key West and was really looking forward to stopping there, so I might have to choose another cruise. jemingway Posted May 14, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2004 I heard that the pier would be ready in October and the normal schedule would return. That is assuming, of course, that there are no delays in renovating the dock. JV The 4 stages of cruising: planning, anticipation, experience and reflection. teedee Posted May 14, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2004 Do you know if this is for all ships? We're on the Jubilee in July and scheduled for a stop in Key West. I also love it there so I hope we'll still be able to stop there. jemingway Posted May 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 14, 2004 I heard that only the largest ships would miss Key West because the slightly smaller ones, such as the Imagination that I was just on, are docking at the navy pier. I think the work is for the big ones, so it should apply to all ships. JV The 4 stages of cruising: planning, anticipation, experience and reflection. CruiseFever Posted May 15, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 15, 2004 So the Fascination would probably be able to continue to call there right? jemingway Posted May 15, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 15, 2004 I think so, but my opinion and 25 cents will still get you a newspaper in some cities. JV The 4 stages of cruising: planning, anticipation, experience and reflection.
SheilaInAL Posted May 15, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 15, 2004 Chris, when we were on the Miracle, they had already begun the work on the pier and we were going to stop at Key West. The only thing that prevented us from doing so was lots of wind and choppy water. So yes, you should be able to go there still on the Fascination. Sailing on the brand new Carnival Miracle! Happy Cruising

I am cruising the 4 day on the Fascination on May 24th. I called Carnival after I heard from a friend that they were working on the pier and was told that the only thing that would prevent our call to Key West would be weather issues Jerry I will be Fascinated on the Fascination in
