Rare sunviking90 Posted March 16, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2022 We usually park at the airport. You can catch the skytrain right at the YVR long term parking lot. Another option if you were planning to drive down the day before is to stay at one of the Richmond hotels that has stay/park/fly deals. They all have shuttles that will take you to the airport and you can get the skytrain there.
dawnvip Posted March 16, 2022 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2022 If you do want to park downtown, there are several lots that offer cruise ship rates around $30 - 35 per day. Some require pre-booking, and some are first come first served. Also note some are more secure than others: https://ca.parkindigo.com/en/long-term-and-cruise-ship-parking https://dev-advancedparking.pantheonsite.io/shaw-tower-parking-lot-downtown-vancouver/#rates
xlxo Posted March 16, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2022 The airport long term lot is my first choice. Another option is a tow yard (Vehicle storage service) that offers enhanced security from break-in's. You get a discount as you are getting there without a tow truck. http://www.busterstowing.com/our-services/ https://www.draketowing.com/movie-set-storage (website does state "Cruise Ship Parking")

The YVR has discount rates for BCAA members and much better deal than parking downtown, with quick service via Skytrain to Waterfront Station with a short 2 block walk to Canada Place. Yes, hopefully the cruise ship testing will be gone soon and for flights to US.
