Hi Lorrie. I'm in DM also. About the only good water we Iowans get to see is on a cruise! Maybe that's why we love it so much!

I think it would be fun to get some Iowa cruisers together to talk about, share pics of, or plan, a cruise. I think this may have happened a few months ago but I missed out on it. Anyone interested??

I'm thinking of planning a group cruise for a singles group I'm in. If I can get this off the ground, the more the merrier!!

Forchunut1 we tried to have a get-together at the downtown Marriott, but things kinda fell through. I'd love for all of us to get together sometime, and share cruise stories, or plan a group cruise... That would be even better!!!

DH and I and our two best friends are going on the Conquest this Halloween, and DH and I are looking at a Hawaiian cruise on Spirit next year.

I still don't remember any big cruising industry in Iowa, except the gambling boats!! Started kindergarten in Sioux City, and still have lots of relatives there and in Paullina, the gem of the northwest. I had to get closer to the ocean. Now its just an hour.

I have sailed on Carnival twice (Victory & Ecstasy), Royal Caribbean once (Nordic Prince, and NCL once (Southward). So far, Carnival has been my favorite. Although it's been a while, we are looking at putting together another family cruise. This time a West Coast itinerary on the Pride.

The fair is a BIG deal for me! I usually go 2 or 3 times. I'm absolutely up for getting together sometime during the festivities! Just let me know when and where and I'll be there. I will probably drag along a couple of friends who I talked into their first cruise last fall as well!
