scubaman Posted February 24, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I will be sailing on the Conquest in April. Is Cayman on the same time as the conquest (Central Time)?
twinkletoes4445 Posted February 24, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2006 When we were in GC in January (a couple of years ago), ship time and island time were the same. We sailed out of Miami. I find this whole time issue to be confusing.
nickelodeon Posted February 24, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2006 I was there last week on a ship that sailed from Miami (Eastern time zone) and the Caymans were on the same time. However, the Caymans do not observe daylight savings time, so the time will probably be different in the fall. Our ship's captain announced every morning whether the local port time was the same as the ship's or not. So it wasn't anything we had to worry about. twinkletoes4445 Posted February 25, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2006 I think in April ship time & island time would be the same on the Conquest since she sails from a port in Central Time Zone...and since GC doesn't observe this, that time of year, Caymans is on the same time as Central.
