We were upgraded this past Sept on the Explorer from a GS to an OS.:) There was lotsa room everywhere......my DW is spoiled now!!! The big screen/Bose surround sound was nice too. If you care to see pictures I can email some.

We would go for it again

Since there are 4 of you, I suggest two adjoining cabins, so you'll have 2 bathrooms :D
I have to agree with PC on this one! We love Owners Suites, but there is still only one bathroom. Two adjoining cabins might be better and would probably cost less!

Hi and thank you for the link. However, I can't seem to find RCL or Explorer pic's. Maybe I am doing something wrong?

The RCL ships are listed by ship name. For example, Adventure of the Seas is the very first one. It is a voyager class ship, so the owner's suite should be very similar to Explorer's.

We had OS 8000 on Legend back in December. The price was pretty decent

too, we had it the week of 12/10, before it went up for the holidays.

Yes, we are forever spoiled now:) It was really worth it for the extra room,

our 2 kids seem to "spread out" all over the place. Not a lot of issues with

bathroom time either, which was surprising. Having a vanity and mirror

outside of the bathroom helped a lot. The balcony rocks too.

IMHO if you can afford it, go for it! You will never regret it!

We booked OS for 2/23/07 because there is 3 of us and to book a room for a single traveller is WAY to much money. I don't mind being with sister & brother-in-law, we travel well together. I have had a room to myself on 2 past cruises, one interior and one aft just for the space & balcony. I'm spoiled and I want a little luxury when I cruise:rolleyes: . Looking forward to OS:D .

My DW and I enjoy the OS, as we entertain from time to time. We had booked a GS on the Monarch for our upcoming B2B and wound up being upgraded to an OS for the first leg, (which I found out thru our T/A) and then had the opportunity to upgrade to the RS for the second leg.

When I started cruising in the middle '90's, the Pacific Princess was my first cruise ship experience. I believe that our cabin was about 110 square feet. I remember that my bed folded into the wall during the day, and I "wore" the shower curtain. Things have steadily improved since then. Our first true suite was on MSC"s Melody. It had a seperate bedroom, and plenty of room to invite guests to join us for cocktails, etc.

Then in '01, we were booked with a guarantee of a Sky Suite on the Mercury, and when we arrived at the pier, the ship had not assigned a cabin to us. We waited for a period of time, when finally an assistant purser showed up and escorted us to a Royal Suite. Wow!!!

As some say, once you have tried a suite, it's hard to go back.

Actually, the first Voyager Class ship was the Voyager!

They were built: Voyager, Explorer, Adventure, Navigator, and then the Mariner. We've had OS's on the Navigator and the Adventure and to be honest other than the room layout being a little different there is not much of a difference.

Stateroom Details on the Voyager Of The Seas

Queen-size bed, private balcony, separate living area with queen-size sofa bed, private bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and bidet, and concierge service. (506 sq. ft., balcony 64 sq. ft.)

Stateroom Details on the Mariner Of The Seas

Queen-size bed, private balcony, separate living area with queen-size sofa bed, private bathroom with bathtub, separate shower and bidet, and concierge service. (618 sq. ft., balcony 131 sq. ft.)

The difference on the Royal Caribbean website seem much different.

The Mariner & Navigator have 112 sq ft. or 22% more room.

The Mariner & Navigator have 67 square feet or 105% more space.

These are BIG differences in my book!

Yes, but I was referring to the fact that Adventure of the Seas is the first ship listed on that particular web site for virtual tours. It's an alphabetical listing.
