Galveston Cams not Updating?

Most of the cams in Galveston are still dark. Looks like they are stuck on 21:58 last night. We were all set to watch the Conquest come in one more time before we board next week. Hope they fix it today, so we can watch her leave this afternoon.

I also wanted to watch, but just checked (8:46 Central Time) and they are still stuck.

That's a little funny because I checked this morning and noticed how dark it was. Yet, I looked out my window here (in San Antonio) and it was fairly light, though the sun had not yet risen. Thanks for pointing out the time-stamp. Maybe there was a wee bit too much partying last night! You know, what happens in Galveston stays in Galveston! :D

OMG!!! Seeing the Conquest once a week was kinda helping me with me waiting pains....What am I gonna do this week???:eek: I dunno if I can go 2 whole weeks without seeing her! This is not good...not good at all...there's pain & agony goin' on here...OK, it's Carnival's fault I'm sure...should we group sue??..:confused:

Yes! Group sue! But we have to do it quickly! We leave a week from today on her. Some of the cams are coming up now. What's the deal with the SeaWall cam? It looks really weird.

Yes, my guess is the Cam operators played at Mardi Gras last night and picked up quite a few beads from "flashing" and partying. They probably needed to sleep in today :)

Web cams don't have operators, they are set up and then run on their own. When there is a problem most display a default image of the last image taken before the problem.

Dang, and I thought there was a guy/girl on top of each building moving those cams 24/7. Boy, was I wrong! There could be some passed out visitors hanging from them this AM though :)

I'm guessing they had some flashers or something last night from Mardi Gras on the Strand Cam that "shorted out" the Galveston system. I bet it won't get fixed until after Mardi Gras.:rolleyes:

They actually have guy/girls operating the cams? I have heard about those guy/girls, but we don't have any (that I know of) out here in the Missouri sticks. They must all have jobs at the ports operating the cams.

If you absolutely must see Conquest click on the site above and on the right under time lapse movies click on Feb 19 and you can see Conquest from last week. :)

I actually called the HArbor House this morning to see if they could reset the cam. They said it was run by Galveston.com. It was worth a try.

Well I am really bummed. I rushed home so could I see her depart. I got off her this morning and am working on a Feb 19th review. The EZ parking bus driver said to just ignore the people passed out on the sides of the street. They are just leftover from the parade last night...We had GREAT weather and a wonderful cruise. Review soon, very soon…;)

No, they are a band from there in Katy. Sadly, they never got the mainstream attention they deserved but were well know in musician circles.

I'll look for them as I do frequent the bars/pubs that offer live entertainment here in the Katy area. I prefer live entertainment over a DJ any day! :)
