joseywales Posted February 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2006 My wife and I are going to Grand Cayman on the Triumph in May. Does anyone have excursion recommendations? We especially enjoy catamaran/snorkling trips.
Sheffie Posted February 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2006 You MUST go to Stingray City! We did our excursion on Captain Bryan's Buccaneer. Here is a link to my photos: http://community.webshots.com/album/530801710NJTzFf Here is a list that I have compiled from recommendations here on CC. Sailboats: Buccaneer: http://caymanislandsdiscounts.com/Stingray_City_Buccaneer_Excursion.htm Captain Bryan’s: http://grandcaymancruiseexcursions.com/StingrayCityCaptBryans.htm Motorized: Captain Marvin’s: http://www.captainmarvins.com Nativeway: http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/shiptours.html Sotos: http://www.sotoscruises.com I suggest that you check out their tours and the timing and find what works best for you. Have fun planning.
bruce-r Posted February 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2006 Do a discover scuba dive if you are medically fit enough. Snorkeling compares to scuba diving just like window shopping compares to actually going into the store to look at the goods up close.

joseywales Posted March 1, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted March 1, 2006 thx to all of you for the great advice. i wouldnt have known to do it this way. bruce-r, as far as snorkling vs scuba diving is concerned, youre right. i was stationed on guam in the navy years ago and dove a lot there and on palau. but, unfortunately, got to the point where i couldnt clear my ears anymore. oh well.... Bassethound Posted March 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2006 A physician can typically take care of that. In my experience the inability to equalize is typically due to the eustacean tubes are partially bloked and simply need cleaning out. 10 minute procedure.
