Shore Excursions--Mazatlan Puerto Vallarta

We are taking the R.C. Mexican Riveria cruise (first week of March). We need some feedback on the shore excursions at Mazatlan, especially the Deer island tour. Also has anybody taken the charter flight to San Sebastian while at Puerto Vallarta and if so, your thoughts Please:)

hi I m not sure where Deer island is but we went to Stone island in Maitzaland the tour from the ship was around 72 dollars which includes a sail on a nice looking catamaram, a trolly ride to the beach area lunch at a place on the beach and free booze on the catamaram

 

we did it for 20 bucks for the two of us thanks to other crusiecritic people

 

we got off the ship asked directions on how to get to the stone island water taxi, then walked 15 minutes approx to the left of the ship paid a dollar each returned trip across to stone island once over there we walked over a small hill and saw a wonderful beach that was not crowded at all this time of year we walked passed a few places to eat but were going to Victor's as we heard form cruisecritic it was an excellent place to go to

 

we had there salsa and chips a platter for one was enough for two of us that had two strips of fish, two ribs, 3 prawns, 3 shrimp, salad fries hubby had 2 beer I had 2 pop the bill was 16 us dollars we paid 2 dollar tip food was wonderful view was spectacular

 

total for day was 20 bucks for two and was wonderful

 

the beach was wonderful we had use of beach chairs and a washroom

 

would definitely recommend this to any one to go to and thank the people who spoke of this on the mexician rivera board
