toban Posted February 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2006 We just returned from a glorious Panama Canal cruise aboard the Summit. She's a most beautiful ship and the ports are outstanding as is the food, cabins and service. I must say that chair hogging has hit a new low - yes, you lady with the red hair and yellow visor. I had never heard of this one before but we watched in amazement as a woman and her husband moved back and forth between 2 lounges in the sun another 2 lounges in the shade; that way they had the best of both worlds while others had no lounges at all. Unfortunate. If you have any questions regarding the ship or cruise, ask away.
motherchic Posted February 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2006 So glad you had a wonderful time. I love the Summit. We will be sailing on her again on 02-14. There is not as much information about the canal stops as there is about other islands. Any info, insight, to dos-, must dos, and not to dos would be greatly appreciated. On our last cruise the ports of call thread gave me tons of great info to plan our days. And i am not finding allot of info for this one. What tours did you go on or wish you had? thanks Nadine
sharbin1 Posted March 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2006 You must have been embarking as we were disembarking, Toban, since we were on the cruise to Hawaii just before your Panama adventure. It was our first Celebrity cruise and we loved it (I'm still suffering from "cruise withdrawal"). We went to Panama last year on the Grand Princess and that was a great cruise too.
