I'm visiting OC soon...so are there certain beaches to avoid getting "itchy?"

Planning to go to the beach right beside where the ship docks.

Lighthouse Beach was closed last week.  Hopefully it will be open for you.  Any beach besides the lagoon with waves would probably be better.

Hi all,

I was at OC yesterday.  Yes the Lighthouse beach was still closed:(

So we ended up walking to South Beach. It was about 10 min walk.Still close to buffet 😋. Buffet was great!

umbrellas to rent was $29 USD.

Ps.

The water was beautiful but as other ppl reported ...my family and others did say they felt a little bit itchy after getting out of the water. This morning I noticed 2 tiny bumps on my arms. There was also 2 jellyfish I saw while I was getting into the water.

Was at OC last week and there was a whole bunch of jellyfish in the shallow water at North Beach.  The were round and spongelike and sitting in the sand.  Be careful not to step on them.
