jfritz126 Posted May 24, 2004 Author #26 Share Posted May 24, 2004 You stand in a line until they check you in and get your sail & sign card. Then you sit in rows of chairs according to your "Zone" which they put you in as you come in the door. As you zone is called you get up, get your picture taken and get on the ship. We were there very early (we were 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th getting on the ship) and we did not see much of a line at all at any time. Both embarkation and debarkation in Baltimore was great. jfritz126 Posted May 24, 2004 Author #27 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Emerald.......if noise doesn't bother you then you have it made. It is a great room with a fantastic balcony and a huge bathroom. The shower was a little confusing at first but Adrian (our steward) was more than happy to explain it to us. He was a fantastic steward!!! We tipped him $20.00 and he brought me a lounge chair from the deck for on my huge balcony!!!! And he kept our beer and soda iced all week for us. Fooblade Posted May 24, 2004 #28 Share Posted May 24, 2004 Whats the deal with bringing beer onto the ship while in the ports? Are you allowed beer and not alcohol? Also is it a hassle to bring your own wine or does Carnival offer a wine package at dinner like other cruise lines? Carnival Miracle A minute from now still isnt soon enough!!!!! jfritz126 Posted May 24, 2004 Author #29 Share Posted May 24, 2004 I am a beer drinker so I don't know anything about what they offer as far as wine goes. To my knowledge you can not bring anything on at ports. But you can put it in your checked luggage when you board. We took 2 cases of beer and a 12-pack of coke. But we also used many many drink coupons so Carnival did not lose money on us. And what we did save on beer went to the Casino!!!! jima53 Posted May 25, 2004 #30 Share Posted May 25, 2004 Thanks for the Miracle review out of Baltimore. We did one of the march sailings out of Jacksonville for our first ever cruise. A short 3 nighter. Had a great time on the ship, all the employees were great. We too found Freeport lacking as a port of call. It was our only port for the short cruise and we were more interested in the shipboard activities. Onka and Ilna in the dining room, and our room steward made our trip very enjoyable. jfritz126 Posted May 25, 2004 Author #31 Share Posted May 25, 2004 I think if we ever had Freeport on our itinerary again we would just stay on the ship and enjoy the pool! It was pretty much a wasted port IMHO.
