Serenade room #7088

I have read in other posts that some of the balconies views on deck 7 are obstructed by the life boats. Does anyone know anything about my room #7088?

If I remember correctly, there are only obstructed views on Deck 8, not deck 7. By the way, It is a beautiful ship.

Deck 8? I am sailing on 4/15 on Deck 8 ~ Room number 8552 ~ does anyone know if this room would have an obstructed view?

Unless if you're in a hump cabin or you're in the front of the ship in one of the E1 cabins, than you will not be able to see directly down to the water. The canopy covering the lifeboats is obstucting that view.

We were on Serenade last week in 7566. I believe 7088 would have roughly the same view (other side, of course). You can see OUT just fine. The life boats hang below deck 7. Over the life boats is a "canopy" - a flat, horizontal roof. It extends out from the balcony rails by maybe 20 feet or so. As such, you can't stand at your rail and look down to the water - the roof is below you. When in port, you can't look down to the pier. You can still look out to the island, the sunset, the water, etc. - you just can't see DOWN. It's not horrible, just a bit of an imposition.

We're in 8088 and it's next to the hump & glass elevators so I don'tthink there can be any obstruction to the view. Can't stand the wait. Keep reading what a beautiful ship it is!
