Ari & Jacqui Posted May 21, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2004 As a first time cruiser, I'm just wondering what everyone is referring to when they say that there's so much to do on a cruise? What kind of activities are going on during the day? Are there any classes, like Yoga, etc? I know nightlife is pretty fun, but was wondering what my options are during the day. Thanks! ~J Miracle 6/26!! imatarb Posted May 21, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 21, 2004 HappyRN, that's my fave activity on board, too. Lounging by the pool, people watching and reading along with my fave drink. Cotton Posted May 21, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 21, 2004 Daytime activiites are numerous. You need to take a highlighter pen with you. Every evening, a copy of the "Capers" (the ships daily newsletter) will be delivered to your cabin while you are at dinner. There is a listing of the next day's activities. So many that I highlight things I don't want to miss. Although I don't do many things, they are there for you. Bingo, trivia games, newlywed games, dance classes, shuffleboard, art auctions, bridge, library, internet cafe, afternoon tea (nice break), poolside games, food munching ALL day long (pizza & soft serve ice cream, etc.), and MY very favorite - finding a quiet area in the rear of the ship and reading. I'm sure I've left out some of the things you can do. You can do it all - or nothing at all. Welcome to the world of cruising! jeepgirl30 Posted May 21, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2004 For our first I was so nervous we'd get bored during Day at Sea. I got the capers and highlighted a bunch of stuff but we usually were too busy to do anything. We did not get to a single seminar! What were we doing? Having the time of our lives. Lounging at the pool, drinking foo foo drinks and meeting people. Also wandering around exploring the ship, checking out the casino etc. We just had a blast. Can't wait! I just need to know how to quickly pass the next 3 weeks! Imagination 3/2003 Days until Sensation...
