Looking For Info On Soverign

Recommended Posts

Just booked on Soverign for July 2006. We have sailed on Soverign twice before, but have been reading about the renovation. Could someone give me some information on improvements, etc. Will be taking our children (20 and 17), how is the Johnny Rockets, pizza place, teen activities, etc.?

Also, booked Deck 2 interior cabins to save $$$. What are our chances of getting an upgrade later (if any) and how do we go about doing this?

Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks!

We just returned from a 3 night on the SOS (2/17-2/20)

The improvements are most notable in the common areas. The cabins have new curtains and bedspreads, but nothing they could do to make them larger.

The dining rooms espescially are much nicer.

Johnny Rockets was good, not as good as the resturants here on land, if you have ever been to one. French fries, onion rings, and hamburgers were MUCH better than those at the WJ, and they bring you ranch dressing for your fries (my favorite!). Don't waste your money on the milkshakes, though, ours tasted like one from McDonald's (from a mix, not real ice cream).

The pizza @ sorrento's was good, not great.

Both of these are located above the WJ.

The WJ itself looks like a completely different place from what I remember on the first trip.

Centrum still looks the same, but the adults should enjoy Boleros.

Sorry, no kids, so I can't comment on that. There was a high school band/chorus group on board the same time as us, and they seemed to always be having a good time when we saw any of them, which was not often.

I can comment further if needed.
