Hawaiian Mama Posted September 26, 2022 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2022 Aloha, we will be on a Windstar cruise and wondering if we should rent an e-moke or car to check out Bora Bora? We aren't much for snorkeling or diving but love checking out new places if it's worth it. OR... do you know a local who would like to show us around for $$? We also just love being on the water (not so much under it) and wondering again if there would be more of a private rental to drive us around the island waterway and maybe stop for lunch somewhere? I look forward to any advise you may have.
Hawaiian Mama Posted September 27, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted September 27, 2022 OK... how about just this question.. We will be on a Windstar cruise and wondering if we should rent an e-moke or car to check out Bora Bora? Is there enough to see should we rent a car for say 4 hours? avalong Posted September 29, 2022 #3 Share Posted September 29, 2022 Yes! My husband and I rented a car on Bora Bora and had a great time touring the island.
CruisingGrandmaW Posted October 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2022 I would recommend you look into a Patrick's Tour. Do a combo boat lagoon/beach BBQ and a 4x4 drive around the island. You don't need to go snorkeling or get into the water --- but the colors of the water are not to be missed via a boat....such a different experience than seeing the water by land. The boat excursion does stop in shallow water that you can stand in at a couple of their stops. The Beach BBQ at Patrick's private beach is great fun & you can also wade into the beautiful warm water from the shore. The lagoon is calm & shallow near his beach.
