European Tipping

We are cruising the Mediterranean in June. After 2 weeks in Italy we will be boarding in Venice for a 7 exciting days. My only question is - Do we tip in US dollars or in Euros? Thanks in advance for your answers. We will also take any other advice you might like to share.

In Italy, in euros. On the ship everything is priced in US dollars. I'm sure euros would be acceptable on the ship, but it's easier to use US$ in my experience.

We're about to go on our third European cruise in October. Tips aboard ship are in dollars. On shore tip in Euros for most countries although Croatia has it's own currency. You can easilly get Croatian currency at the cash tills in Dudrovnik - just get what you need for the day. Enjoy your cruise
