Are Door Hangings Allowed?

We will be on a Carnival ship with a couple that will be getting married on one of the island ports.  Someone had said they wanted to put a door hanging on the couples door about getting married, but someone else said that Carnival doesn't allow door hangings any more unless you buy them from Carnival directly due to fire hazzards.  I haven't been on Carnival in MANY years since I frequent other lines so surely don't know the "new rules".   I'm not trying to be a brat, but I can't ever recall any news about any cruise ship catching fire from a door hanging.  Does anyone know anything about this topic?  Do not want to break rules but would like clarification if anyone has cruise recently with Carnival and knows about this topic.  Not wanting to go all out and make elaborate craziness on the door.  It's basically a sign they had specially made.  Comments?
