I spy with my little eye...

Hello and good morning, yinz.

I've been introduced to the world of leisure cruising by user @Swells1 recently as we've gone on the NCL Sky for a 7-day Southern Carribean cruise.

The experience was excellent, and I definitely look forward to our next adventure.

My question is one of the details, likely related to maintenance. As we enjoyed dining in the many different, delicious options aboard the Sky, my eye was drawn to the recessed light fixtures. Alongside a number of fixtures, there were one or two small dots, mostly colored red. Could someone please explain the purpose of these markings?

Thank you for having me here. 🙂 Peace, n'at.

Don't know if it applies here, but in some cases that indicates those lights are on a separate emergency circuit so that if power goes out, they would still operate on an alternative energy source such as batteries.
