Live from Legend of the Seas

Live from day 3 on Legend.

Day 1

Got to port around 1:30, which is a record early arrival for me. Took about 10 minutes to get on the ship through the platinum line, due mostly to the fact that there had been a screw up with the cabin. We ended up getting upgraded to an outside, which was a nice surprise.

Cabin 3098, pretty much standard, not real big, but perfectly fine for myself and roommate. We're both 26 year old guys, not really too picky about these kinds of things.

Shower has a curtain if anyone's wondering. On this ship deck 3 is pretty good location with the casino, dining, and showroom on deck 4.

We have late dinner, first night was pretty good, I don't remember all the selections, I had the steak and chicken that they always have available. The grilled chicken is just your basic grilled chicken breast, but I found it to be very tasty.

Skipped the show, went to karaoke instead, it was pretty fun. The viking crown on this ship has a circular dance floor surrounded by table areas and this is where they had karaoke. you are pretty much on stage, with lots of crowd participation.

Drank quite a lot and danced all night long in VC. The ship has a pretty good amount of spring breakers, but by no means overwhelming. Lots of older folks too, everyone seems to be having fun.

Day 2

Somehow got out of bed around 11:30 for lunch. This is a sea day so mostly just lazed around, played some ping pong, trivia, blackjack and so forth. The casino is quite large on this ship with very many slots. There are not that many table games, and I could see them being very crowded at times.

Very cool thing they had this night was rock-a-rokie, which is karaoke with a live backing band. I'd never seen this before and it was really neat.

had filet for dinner, along with the grilled chicken. the filet was basically like roast beef, but was tasty nonetheless.

Danced the night away again, and ended up in the solarium hot tubs until about 5 am. There were maybe 15 of us in there late night. We didn't have any problems, I think the solarium is open 24 hours for swimming and hot tubs, so that is excellent.

Day 3

Cayman. I think this port is pretty boring, and as we were not doing an excursion we just stayed on board, got some sun and took it easy. Tonight's show is the temptation tribute group, I watched some of it and it was quite good.

Please feel free to ask me questions, as I cannot think of exactly what to tell you all. I'll check again in a few days.

Hi Drew,

Thanks for sharing with all of us. We are getting married aboard the Legend in 12 days. How much is it to use the internet? Can you purchase blocks of time for a cheaper rate? And can you bring a laptop and hook it up in your room for internet access? Thanks if you can help out, otherwise enjoy your vacation!! Lori
