Venice - Doge's Secret Tour Day of Departure (1/2 day)

Hello,

 

We will be sailing on the Golden Princess out of Venice on May 23. We actually board the ship on May 22 and overnight on the ship. We sail at 1:00 p.m. on May 23.

 

I have a reservation for the Doge's Palace Secret Itineraries Tour at 9:55 a.m. and the website says the tour lasts 75 minutes. Will we be able to comfortably make it back to the ship if we leave the Doge's Palace by say 11:30 a.m. I think we should be able to but I wanted to get some input.

All of the Princess tours last until 12:30 p.m. or 12:45 p.m.

 

Don't want to miss the ship on the day of departure!!!!

Susie = We did this exact thing in July. We enjoyed the tour, and had a little time to look around some other rooms in the Palace before heading back to the ship. You'll be fine.

 

If you haven't seen Casanova (the film starring Heath Ledger) I recommend renting it before you go. The scenery of Venice is fabulous. The story is silly but since the secret itinerary tour is mostly about Casanova, it's fun to put it all together.
