Fun Loving Posted March 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2006 We are going to Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. These are the excursions we are interested in doing: River Tubing in Belize, Stingray and Barrier Reef in Grand Cayman and Dune Buggies and Beach day at Cozumel and Costa Maya (can't decide which is best where). Please provide any information you have on good companies to go with for these excursions and where would you recommend we do the dune buggies and beach (really want a beach with toys, i.e. water trampoline, banana rides, etc.). Thank you very much. 31 days and counting until my trip on the Miracle
LSUNizz Posted March 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2006 I would strongly recommend going with Nacho and Cynthia (ncqadventures.com) in Belize for the river tubing and/or zip line. My wife and I returned from our trip last week and I did a pretty extensive review on this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=309412 Hope this helps. Have a great trip! passaporta Posted March 11, 2006 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2006 We just returned from Belize, had a private tour to the Altun Ha Ruins. There were 6 of us in Veronica's van. She is very knowledgeable in her country's history & answered our many questions all day. We had a great lunch at Mayan Wells Restaurant, just before you get to the ruins. A peaceful spot surrounded by beautiful gardens. fireboat Posted March 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted March 14, 2006 You will not go wrong with Nacho and Cynthia. We were there 3/6. They took care of us. Make sure you get on the earliest tender possible. You'll want to get as much time as possible. We didn't get to a liquor store (Belize rum is suppose to be real good.) We did the stingray sandbar in Grand Cayman. Went with the Native Way. They oversaw the trip. They used a registered guide/driver for the island tour and the boat captain seemed to be an independent. The NW people showed up to collect the money. The trip wasn't bad. I just made sure I tipped both the guide and the captain since they made the trip for us. Can't help with your other two ports
