chuckolate Posted January 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2023 Does anyone have any experience with cancelling due to getting covid before embarkation? Trying to decide if we want travel insurance. I see this is the policy: If you, your family members or travelling companions assigned to the same stateroom cancel a cruise booking due to testing positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of embarkation, you and they are entitled to an FCC for the amount paid to Norwegian. To qualify for the FCC, if your COVID-19 test was administered by a provider other than one retained by Norwegian, you must present your verified positive test result in a form acceptable to Norwegian. I'm good with FCC but what exactly does the "amount paid to Norwegian" mean? And what proof do they require ... PCR test?
jrlamour Posted January 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2023 I didn’t think testing was required to board any more? I’d be interested in this info too.

If you cite COVID as the reason for your cancellation, you need to get tested. No test = no result = no cancellation.
