Long Beach Grand Prix (April 14-16) - Advice Needed

We're sailing on Discovery Princess April 15th.  We managed to avoid Easter, but landed right on top of the Long Beach GP.  This resulted in hotel challenges near the port.  Availability and pricing were through the roof!

We ended up in Sunset Beach.  Nice little place by the water, but now I notice that we'll have to navigate through/around the GP area.

 

Other than leaving for the ship earlier than usual, any thoughts/suggestions on avoiding that mess?  Or just leave it to the Uber driver? 🙂

Uh... Princess uses San Pedro. I don't see a problem.

But, I would NOT stay in Sunset Beach if it is just one night. If the Crowne Plaza and DoubleTree San Pedro are booked, I'd stay in Torrance by the Del Amo Center.
