1- I don't remember a basketball court but i have girls so i was not looking for one.

2- Yes there is an arcade and you have to pay for the games.

3- i have never bought a soda card, we are happy with the juices, punch and tea, but if you are a big soda drinker (we are not) than it may be a good idea to buy one because the soda charges may add up.

hope this helps you.

Soda card-- how old are your kids??

soda cards are good for one cup of soda at a time--not a can jsut a small cup.

I suggest- if your kids want soda during the week-- each kid will have to carry on a 12 pack of their favorite kind...when its gone its gone.

Ice tea, lemonade and fruit punch will be available for them to drink 24 hours a day-- also chock and white milk. if the kdis find the ice tea yucky-- tell them to mix it up with the lemonade til they get it jsut right-- ahlf and half worked for me.

There is no basketball court. There is an arcade that I am sure you have to feed quarters. The soda card is defiantely a deal if you drink more than 2 sodas a day. Of course carrying on your own soda would work also. Below I am adding a link to a page that has a nice summary of all the amenities on the ship. You might also want to go to the Carnival website where you can see a plan of whats on every deck. Happy cruising.

if you are flying in you do not want to pack upo soda for a cruise. wait til you arrive and ask the cab driver to stop at a store. Have each kid grab a 12 pack.. soda can be carried on with no questions.

Cans of soda onboard are 1.75 plus a 15% gratuity.

no basketball court well i know that there will be plenty of other things for them to do life will go on i guess i can tell them they will have the vidoe games to play (need to set a budget for that)

my boys will drink about anything so i may just have them bring a 12 pack of soda on board and then when it is gone it is gone since they have free stuff for them to drink.

if you have any more tips or hints please let me know

The Victory had a basketball net-- its not a court-- its a net inside a cage - I dont see why the triumph wouldnt-

its located out of the way up on the top deck by the funnel deck.

Thanks for the link infoprof!

I will definitely use it for my future bookings. I find it rather surprising that they have 17 bars and no movie theatre or chapel on the Triumph!

Oh, oh. What does that say about our priorities while on vacation?????

You are welcome Westernmom. Don't worry about there only being 17 bars, I am sure you can find a waiter to being a drink if there isn't one nearby lol, Have a great cruise. By the way I am sure they have in room movies. My son spent many hours watching movies in his cabin when we were on Fantasy. I prefered the casino, to each their own, happy cruising!

I am also a first time cruiser. Can you tell me how much are the photos that are taken on the ship?

formal photos are 19.95

the one you get when you get on and taken at ports when you get off are 6.95 and 7.95 depending on the size.

when buying photos you need to buy the original beofre you buy other sizes. ex--you cant buy just wallets of the formal photo- you need to buy the photo then the wallets.

there is no pressure to buy photos-- you look at them on your liesure. (look at them about 30 minutes before the photo shop closes.. no crowds.

Have your photos taken every night at differnt backgrounds--which change every night. then only pick and choice the ones you want to get.

No- the pictures will be throughout the photo place. But easy to find-

Each background is together.

When you get your photo of getting onboard-- the photographer will give you a number-- thats where you will see that particular photo

(even if you moved them all together--- the staff will put them back where they belonged.)

Funny coz last cruise we could not find one particular pic we really wanted.

the guy asked what we were wearing--- and he found it in a split second-- wierd.
