Hilo Rental Car.

We are cruising in May. When in Hilo we would like to rent a car. It is a Sunday. How do we get to the Airport and back? Any help would be appreciated.

Ita my understanding there is no free shuttle from port to airport and reverse.to/from airport,

(Which is about 4miles and a 10 min drive).I believe Marshals Taxi (808-936-2654) will do the transport for about $20.00 for up to 1-9 passengers. You might try to share the taxi with another cruiser.

FYI- I contacted Budget a few weeks ago and they said they DO have a shuttle that goes to/from the cruise port. If you'd like to call and confirm, their number is 808-935-6878

I just called budget and they did confirm they do have a shuttle to and from the pier.

And you can use the same shuttle to rent from Avis, which is currently being administered by Budget (one company, two brands) while their office is being built.
