Just curious what time passengers are generally getting on board the Inspiration these days out of Tampa.... Anyone, anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Our travel agent says to arrive at 11:30am but that seems a little early, doesn't it?

Somebody lemme know by tomorrow morning (Sunday, May 30) if possible...

TampaSteve,

The problem is that there seems to be quite a bit of variation as to when the Tampa terminal actually starts boarding on a given day. I've heard as early as 11:15, but on the day we were there (mid-January) there was a hold-up with disembarkation and we didn't start heading aboard til 12:45.

The NICE thing about Tampa is that they have a large, comfy, air-conditioned terminal where, once you arrive, you can sit and read while looking at the ship:

unlike alot of ports, where you sit on your carryon outside til they finally start moving. I'd get there around 11 and bring a book or magazine.

In April we got to the port about 11a.m. and didn't board until 1:30. It was fun just knowing we were going to go on a cruise

We arrived outside the port building just before 11:00. They usually open the doors at 11:00, then it's a matter of a 20 minute or so wait to check in. Next you sit in a great air-conditioned waiting room looking directly at the ship. Numbered groups are called, starting around 12:15. We were on by 12:30 each time and headed to the buffet soon after. Enjoy your cruise. Cathy
